We're in uncharted territory. But we're in it together.

This is a tough time for our community. Many of us are feeling extremely uneasy, anxious and nervous for what’s to come and the hardest part is dealing with these emotions without any human to human interaction. That's why the founders of Well Read and Pitch a Friend have put together Virtual Wellness Week -- a week full of programming that helps the mind, body and soul featuring some of our local businesses and national partners. Here's what to expect:

That's 18 offerings over 6 days. The best part? You have everything you already need in your home. Create structure for your day that infuses wellness, movement and learning into a new routine. Can't make an event live? No worries, we're recording every session! 

The Location

Virtual Wellness Week will be hosted entirely on Zoom Video Conferencing. Access details will be sent to guests on 3/22.

Vanja will lead us through 45-minutes of barre3 designed to balance the body and mind and empower us from within.

Lifestyle and Commercial Photographer

Amanda will lead us through an Instagram photography workshop, teaching us how to create content from our homes.

Jamie

Crisis Management Consultant

Jamie will lead us through an evening session on the current state of COVID-19, ways to prepare and answer our questions as the situation progresses.

Caitlin

Fox

Founder, The Glow Club

Caitlin will lead us through 3 days of morning guided meditation.Her studio strives strengthen your most valuable asset: your mind.

Sasha

Hanway

Founder, Wild Things Retreats

Sasha is a Seattle based yoga teacher and founder of wild things retreats. She will lead us through yoga that integrates both grace and athleticism.

Liz

Harvey

Personal Trainer and Founder of The Burn Factory

Liz will lead us through a total Body 50 min sweat sesh incorporating both HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) and HIRT [High Interval Resistance Training] style workout with little to no equipment.

Dancer and Digital Content Creator 

Erin will lead us through at home dance party with the goal of getting sweaty. She'll be our personal hype-woman for 30 minutes.

Founder of Woo Woo Company and Prism Consultancy

Alice will lead us in a guided meditation that will set an intention for the day and during this period of social distancing. You’ll feel energized and refreshed after the meditation. We will do 10 minutes of meditation, 10 minutes of writing intentions / goals down, and 10 minutes of discussion.

Owner and Founder of Phoenix and Rose Feng Shui

Nitu will lead us through an evening introduction to feng shui and small changes we can make to our home's energetic flow.

Emily

Rasowsky

Breathwork Facilitator

Emily will lead us through evening breathwork, an active form of meditation that clears stuck energy from your body so you can connect deeply with your own intuition and receive channeled guidance from your own body.

Sadler

Founder of Planted in BK

Sydney will lead us through a plant propagation workshop followed by Q&A! Learn how to multiply your plant collection without leaving the house!

Founder of Aroma Poetry/Poet

Tahmina will lead us through an evening of poetry reading to get our creativity flowing, followed by guided journaling.

Williams

Director of Operations at Nuboxx and Coach

Vic will lead us through a 36-minute full body HIIT/boxing workout will give participants a glimpse into Nuboxx’s upcoming online live boxing and functional training program!


Cami

Wolff

Founder, The CANIS Shift

Cami will lead us through meditation in three parts: movement meditation, seated guided meditation and laying down sound meditation.

KC

B. Yoncè

D.C. Drag Diva, DJ, and Dancer

12:30pm 〰️ 45 minute yoga flow with Sasha Hanway. This 45 min flow will build heat and strength, while opening up the chest and hips.

6:30pm 〰️ Learn about the status of COVID-19 with Jamie Babin followed by Q&A.

8:00am 〰️ Morning Meditation with Caitlin Fox.

12:30pm 〰️  Lunch break dance party with former Washington Captials Cheerleader, Erin Hill. Check out her moves, here. 

6:30pm 〰️ Poetry reading with author Tahmina Safi followed by guided journaling.

8:00pm 〰️ 30 minutes of introductory breathwork with Emily Rasowsky to let go of pent up emotion.

12:30pm 〰️ Boxing Conditioning with Vic Williams.

6:30pm 〰️ Introduction to Feng Shui with tips to reorient and clear your space with Nitu Patel.

8:00am 〰️  Morning Meditation with Cami Wolff. Expect to feel relaxed and equipped with new tools to manage your stress.

12:30pm 〰️  HIIT bootcamp with Liz Harvey of F45. 

6:30pm 〰️  Get your plant babies right with a propagation workshop and Q&A from Sydney Sadler.

8:00am 〰️ Guided meditation with Alice Hu. 

12:30pm 〰️ 45 minute barre3 class led by Vanja Amodeo crafted to build balance in the body.

6:30pm 〰️  Learn how to take drool-worthy photos with an Instagram Photography Workshop by Amanda Archibald.
